Soundtrack: Hypnospace Outlaw — invented genre names that double as the game's clues
Hypnospace Outlaw is an observation-and-deduction puzzle set inside a fictional 1999 internet. Composer Jay Tholen invented genres that exist nowhere else — "dirthaze," "fungus scene" — and built them into the game's actual puzzles. Checked against a Tone Glow interview, Doremi reads how a six-disc, roughly 150-track soundtrack tied to fictional in-game bands lines up with the rhythm of clicking from page to page.
