Episode 48 of “Today Is Release Day”: LocoRoco, released in North America on September 5, 2006 — exactly twenty years ago today. You do not move the round yellow creature; you tilt the ground, using only the L and R buttons. The pitch was turned down twice, and what got it approved was a prototype that only knew how to roll. Critics averaged 83; Japan’s first week was just over 30,000 copies.
