Death Crimson (1996) — thirty years after "since I'm here"
Episode 26 of "Today Is Release Day": Death Crimson, the "dark" light-gun shooter École Software released for the Sega Saturn on August 9, 1996. It scored 13 out of 40 in Famitsu's Cross Review and finished 297th out of 297 in Sega Saturn Magazine's reader race — yet its line "Since I'm here, I choose this red door!" became a catchphrase among Japanese players, and the game spawned sequels. Thirty years ago today — and for the anniversary, the line's actual meaning has finally been explained.
